PROVOST DECLARES OPENED 2021/2022 ACADEMIC SESSION

The Provost of ECWA Theological Seminary Igbaja, Rev. Dr John Olu Adetoyese today declared opened the 2021/2022 Academic Session.

This was done in an event that was well attended by members of the Faculty, Staff and Students of ECWA Theological Seminary (ETSI) and ECWA College of Education Igbaja (ECEI) in the Chapel of Truth. While welcoming all to the new session, the Provost also seized the opportunity to unveil the theme 2021/2022 Session – ‘Crucified Life’ (Gal. 2:20) – the tagline with which ETSI community is to run with for the next 12 months.

In his charge, Rev Adetoyese called on all Faculty, Staff and Students to live a life that will reflect Christ, and Him crucified.

In view of the prevalent insecurity that is bedeviling the nation, the Provost prayed for God’s protection on all members of ETSI community. He however called on all, particularly students, to be wary of where they go and at what time they move around.

In the same vein, the Deputy Provost Academic Affairs, Rev. SOD Awokoya, also welcomed all, Faculty, Staff and Students to “ETSI New Year” and also appreciated all new students for making ETSI their choice citadel of learning.

While introducing Members of Faculty and Staff to the new students, Rev. Awokoya also introduced the newly appointed Registrar, Elder Emmanuel Adeshola Adekeye; Prof J.B. Lawal (a former Provost of the ETSI who is now a newly appointed Contract Faculty Member); as well as a newly employed faculty member, Pastor John Obaluyi.
